Plans To Move Gitmo Detainees To U.S. Soil
President Barack Obama, according to Fox News, unlawfully used taxpayer funds to scout relocation sites within the United States for the purpose of transferring Guantanamo Bay detainees. United States law forbids the use of taxpayer funds for this purpose.
Look folks, you either look at these detained terrorists as enemy combatants or routine prisoners. Enemy combatants, which clearly those suspected of terrorism fall within, are not entitled to the same laws in civilian courts as other criminals within the United States. The move from Gitmo has no purpose, other than the Obama administration folding to the notion that these detainees should be treated differently. Well, they should not.
The reported unlawful spending of $25,000 by the Pentagon under the direction of the White House to scout prison sites in Kansas, South Carolina, and Colorado only further jeopardizes our national security. Allowing Gitmo detainees to be moved to U.S. prisons only opens up further recruiting sites and potential radicalization of other inmates. It also opens up the possibility of communication by the detainees to the outside world through the illegal channels often set up by criminal gangs within these prisons.
Closing Guantanamo Bay is just another admission by the President that he, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry have all faked us regarding the ongoing war on terrorism. As we have said all along, drug cartel and gang members, as well as mass murderers should fall under the same “enemy combatant” definition and Guantanamo Bay should serve as an outpost that allows no communication with the outside world. Instead of closing it, it should be expanded.
