Tone, Temperament, And Out Of Touch On Full Display
Watching the Vice-Presidential debate made us deeply concerned if Tim Kaine could somehow reach the Oval Office. He offered little to the American people, attempted to justify her boss’s behavior, and used numbers and statistics that hide the actual truth.
He attacked Donald Trump, no surprise. But, he had a difficult time defending Democratic policies from the President on down to Hillary’s days at the State Department. Free college tuition, paid leave, and more and more social programs spoken by Kaine never addressed the underlying source of funding. Nor did he admit that Hillary’s economic plan would add further to the national debt that doubled under Barack Obama.
He failed to justify both Hillary and Obama’s foreign policy failures from not obtaining a status forces agreement in Iraq upon exiting to her blunders in Benghazi and Libya.
Kaine was great at interruption, really good at appearing anxious, and the best at not being able to separate the failed policies of the Obama administration from Hillary Clinton. Pick one out of a hat. Obamacare, immigration, or a 8 year stagnant economy that averaged below 2% growth.
Mike Pence established himself with stability. His demeanor and knowledge would greatly benefit a Trump presidency. He offers Trump knowledge of the intricacies of how Congress works and represents the establishment side of the Republican Party. Kaine, on the other hand, appears as an out of control whack job that would be dangerous if Hillary at some point wasn’t medically able to serve.
