Clinton Foundation Received Large Donations From Unions
In another less than transparent accounting, the Washington Free Beacon is reporting that up to $2 million was received in union donations by the Clinton Foundation. A conflict of interest, or is it just another way for the Clintons to amass a fortune? Certain unions even filed the donations with the IRS as a political “activity.”
We are not naive to how politics works. From lobbyists to super-PAC’s, candidates receive millions of donations indirectly to fund their coffers for campaigns. However, it is unprecedented that a tax-exempt “charitable” organization run by an ex-President and possible President-to-be has received these amounts of money from questionable sources.
We know while Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton’s Foundation received large donations from foreign businesses and governments. We know that while Ms. Clinton was Secretary of State, Bill Clinton was receiving exorbitant speaking fees while abroad. We now know that union revenues coming from the backs of its members has contributed to the Clinton Foundation. Never disclosing, never rationalizing, and never discussing these donations just continues to portray Ms. Clinton, her husband, and the Foundation as being involved in unethical practices.
It is a sad state in American politics when the liberal media cannot join the conservatives to demand an explanation. The Clintons will do what they do, “jab and weave” their way along avoiding any such questioning that could get the American voter the truth behind the relationship between the Clinton’s and their donors as well as why such a small percentage of revenue from the Foundation is spent on charitable programs.
